What a great experience for our daughter's birthday. The service, as always, was exceptional! We got all the additions and did the wine pairing with it. So amazing. The location and restaurant are continuously impressive! So glad we came here again! Love this restaurant and the team that provided this outstanding service!
Unbelievable, Fantastic, a Gem. Coming here and dining is just a treat to all your senses. It was a long time since my wife and I had been here and we were both looking forward to what we knew would be an amazing experience. We were not disappointed. You enter the lovely restaurant and you immediately feel the wonderful electricity in the air. Many people (large and small groups) sitting, speaking laughing and just enjoying their surroundings. We were brought over to our table and within seconds greeted by our server and team members. Here they stress the importance of everyone working together. It's all about the team. After an explanation of the menu I knew that we could not eat both the main serving a lsong with the add on famous chicken, so we will have to keep that for our next visit. We were just two visiting for two days. The first course was a mixed green salad done in a vidalia onion vinaigrette. It was so delicious along with the amazing bread served here. That was followed by a fabulous Pot Roast that we quickly devoured. Such amazing fresh-tasty food here. (see phots) They are all amazing people. All of them 10 out of 10. After the great cheese plater and desert we were treated to a tour of the kitchen. This just made my night. It was a great experience to meet the team behind the magic and even take a picture with everyone. A special thank you to our server who made it happen. GREAT FOOD, GREAT DINING EXPERIENCE. That is what dining out is supposed to be. THANK YOU FOR GIVING us this amazing evening. KUDOs to the team at Ad Hoc.
Friendly staff made our meal extra special for my wife's birthday. They all got into the holiday theme with their holiday sweaters making the setting festive and casual. All food was on point.
I loved our meal here! They offer a daily prix-fixe menu, so be sure to check their website for the day's selections. As a Thomas Keller restaurant, I was excited to try it, especially since I haven't been to French Laundry yet. During our visit, we had the chicken piccata with orzo, which was delicious. We also ordered the additional entree which was a lamb dish, but honestly, we could have skipped it as the chicken piccata was the clear winner for all of us. This place is ideal for sharing family-style, and I would definitely return to try their famous buttermilk chicken and other offerings.
Went for the thanksgiving lunch! Omg it was truly to die for. Fried turkey, green beans, truffle Mac and cheese, Parker house rolls, cranberry sauce, gravy, fall salad, Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes and apple pie! Service was very kind and friendly. Ambiance was so welcoming yet upscale. It was lip smacking good food. Can't wait to come back for the fried chicken. The portions were so huge we ate it for 2 extra meals after the main thanksgiving lunch. Everyone one must try this place!
Back in September I realized it was going to be a small group for Thanksgiving and my dining mates said "NO COOKING". Had planned on reservations for a meal at Ad Hoc but then our party grew and we switched to the prepared AdHoc take out meal for 4. Knowing we were a bunch of small eaters, we knew the 16 lb turkey would be more than enough. Pick up went very easy the day before and staff was so friendly. Now while I and everyone else would say that turkey is not their favorite meat and that Turkey dinner is heavy, I have to say the turkey was brined perfectly and it was the perfect moist turkey. Additionally am not a fan of stuffing but the Leek and bacon stuffing was my second favorite part. The cranberry sauce was tangy and great for turkey sandwiches the next day. The sprouts were great and the mashed potatoes were simply simple and the right consistency. Sorry to those who like yams and marshmellows, this was a traditional menu. The gravy was perfect and of course the carmelized apple pie from Bouchon and the Parker House rolls were spot on! Now some might say what a waste of money, that sounds too expensive. But when you think about it, cut the price in 2 because there were still enough leftovers for another meal and a half, the stress of cooking was non-existent and all you had to do was the dishes! only think I could have wished for was a bigger pie! AND you are still in your home where you can lay down on the couch and watch some football!
A pre-fix Thomas Keller restaurant (think French Laundry) at a very affordable price point. Think we paid ~$65 a person, before drinks or any add ons. I loved that we didn't have to make too many decisions, we just sat down and the food started coming. Every single plate was delicious and the service top notch. I'm sad they weren't serving their famous friend chicken the night we were there, but I'd go back in a heartbeat. Great food, excellent service, cute atmosphere, fun cocktails. As Hoc has it all.
Absolutely LOVED everything about Ad Hoc. The prix fixe menu is wonderful! The service, food, and ambiance were all incredible. The server was highly friendly and attentive through the entire lunch! The food itself was so delicious and totally worth it to go on a Friday and Saturday to try the lunch menu!! Epic experience, will be coming back!
*LOCATION* This cute restaurant is located in downtown Yountville, with its own parking lot in the back. Addendum is also right behind Ad Hoc too. There's lots of other dining places nearby and street parking as well. *WAIT TIME* My fiancé and I had a reservation for Thursday night ~6:45pm. When we got there, it was crowded inside and seemed like a full house. However, we didn't have to wait at all and were immediately guided to our table. *FOOD* Ad Hoc is a set menu for $69/person with additional items that you can add on. Each of the add-on items (red text on the menu) is priced for 2 people. -Chopped Romaine Salad: huuuge portion, sweet fruits, refreshing vinaigrette dressing -Grilled New York Striploin: perfectly medium rare, not a fan of the choron sauce and wish we had asked for it on the side, v crispy hashbrowns, overall seemed like a small portion for 2 people -Smoked Pork Short Rib: tasted ok, some pieces were too hard imo, could have gone without -Summer Vegetables: SOO tasty, great variety of veggies -Pleasant Ridge Reserve: the mostarda jam was very good, paired well with the cheese and crackers -Carrot Cake Cupcake: nice and moist, cream cheese frosting not too sweet *SERVICE* Our waiter was great! She was patient and answered our many questions. The food took awhile to come out but understandably so since they were so busy. *AMBIENCE* This is a great place for a treat or celebratory meal! We visited as a pre-wedding dinner and had a good experience. I'd want to visit again another time to try their famous fried chicken :)
